What is Lisa stitching this month?
This month I am working on a combination of Autumn and Christmas projects. Here is what I have going for November:
New Starts
I love the classic Christmas characters and colors in this piece. The squares can be stitched as one piece as shown or as three separate pieces. I am stitching it as one piece, using the suggested Classic Colorworks and DMC floss, on Lambswool 16 count Aida from Wichelt.
Pansy Patch Manor is a four part series - one for each season of the year. I will be stitching this one with a combination of Classic Colorworks, Weeks Dye Works, Gentle Art, and DMC floss. I haven't picked my fabric yet, but am thinking of Mushroom Lugana from Zweigart.
Works in Progress (WIPs)
This is a smaller pieces, finishing a little over a 4-1/2” square when stitched on 28 count fabric. I am using DMC floss and Mushroom 28 count Lugana by Zweigart.
I started Frida, a tribute to Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, for Hispanic Heritage Month. The bright colors in the piece are a nice change from my typical stitching. I am using DMC floss and 14 count Jobelan Aida from Wichelt.
I started this design a while ago and then it got set aside and buried in my pile of WIPs. I was able to add the patterns to my shop this week so I decided to pull it out and start working on it again. There are three patterns in the series and each one has two square designs. I am stitching all six squares on one piece.
Recent Finishes
There are two designs included in this pattern. I only stitched one. This has been a popular pattern. And there is now a companion pattern in my shop: Purple Pumpkin Pin Keeps.
I love how the red, pinks, and mauve blended in this piece. I loved stitching this piece. It was stitched with a combination of Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works Floss.
I really enjoyed stitching this sampler. I had a hard time putting it down. It is stitched with DMC and DMC Variations floss. I am planning on having this one professionally framed.
