What is Lisa stitching this month?

Do you like to work on one cross stitch project at a time? Or, like me, do you have several going at once?  I'm trying to keep my WIPs under control by picking 3 or 4 projects to work on per month. I know I have five listed here, but two are already started and two are small.

Works in Progress (WIPs)

Sew Blessed by October House Fiber Arts

I love everything about this one!  I'm using floss from Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye works and am in love with the colors!  The variegation of hand-dyed floss add so much dimension to the thread spools.  I'm stitching on fabric from Fiber on a Whim which is so soft.  I love the texture of it.

Gather with Joy by The Blue Flower

I  started this one a couple of weeks ago.  I thought I could do a few stitches on this sampler and then put it away until I finished one or two current WIPs. 😂 But then I fell in love with it and I can’t put it down!  I'm stitching on the same Fiber on a Whim aida with DMC floss.  The house is stitched with DMC Color Variations.  It's the first time I used it and I am impressed!  I'll be stocking up on more colors so I have it on hand to make substitutions.

New Starts

Purple Pumpkin Patch by ScissorTail Designs

I tried resisting this one because I don't usually stitch anything for Halloween.  But, how could I resist those purple pumpkins and black crows?  I'll be using DMC floss and 14 count Aida from Wichelt.

Doodle: Autumn by Heart in Hand

In addition to the adorable autumn motifs, this Heart in Hand design has two tiny buttons, which are included with the pattern.   I can't wait to add this one to my fall decor.

Frida by Barbara Ana Designs

Frida by Barbara Ana Designs is a tribute to the Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo. It is an older pattern that I recently added to the shop.  I chose to add it to my line up because my 5 year old niece recognizes her in pictures and paintings.  I hope she'll be excited when this is done and displayed in her house!

 Recent Finishes

Pumpkin Patch by Primrose Cottage Stitches

This was a fun stitch that actually came together pretty quickly.  I love pretty much any design with a vintage truck in it, and the pumpkins and scarecrow make me love it even more!  I'm hoping to find a frame to finish this one.

October Sampler of the Month by Country Cottage Needleworks

I haven't been stitching this entire series this year, but plan on doing all of them over a couple years.  They are easy and quick stitches that feature darling motifs in a band sampler style.

Follow me on Instagram or Facebook to see my progress on projects throughout the month.  If you are stitching along with me on any of these, use #greatlakesneedleworks or tag me @great.lakes.needleworks.  I love to see what everyone else is stitching!
