What is Lisa stitching this month?
Works in Progress (WIPs)
I love everything about this one! I'm using floss from Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye works and am in love with the colors! The variegation of hand-dyed floss add so much dimension to the thread spools. I'm stitching on fabric from Fiber on a Whim which is so soft. I love the texture of it.
I started this one a couple of weeks ago. I thought I could do a few stitches on this sampler and then put it away until I finished one or two current WIPs. 😂 But then I fell in love with it and I can’t put it down! I'm stitching on the same Fiber on a Whim aida with DMC floss. The house is stitched with DMC Color Variations. It's the first time I used it and I am impressed! I'll be stocking up on more colors so I have it on hand to make substitutions.
I tried resisting this one because I don't usually stitch anything for Halloween. But, how could I resist those purple pumpkins and black crows? I'll be using DMC floss and 14 count Aida from Wichelt.
In addition to the adorable autumn motifs, this Heart in Hand design has two tiny buttons, which are included with the pattern. I can't wait to add this one to my fall decor.
Frida by Barbara Ana Designs is a tribute to the Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo. It is an older pattern that I recently added to the shop. I chose to add it to my line up because my 5 year old niece recognizes her in pictures and paintings. I hope she'll be excited when this is done and displayed in her house!
This was a fun stitch that actually came together pretty quickly. I love pretty much any design with a vintage truck in it, and the pumpkins and scarecrow make me love it even more! I'm hoping to find a frame to finish this one.
I haven't been stitching this entire series this year, but plan on doing all of them over a couple years. They are easy and quick stitches that feature darling motifs in a band sampler style.
